Marguerite Vale pulls four tour dates and says so herself

By Celeb Scoop Staff·2 hours ago

Four dates on the Cascadia leg of Marguerite Vale’s autumn tour have been cancelled outright rather than rescheduled. The announcement went up on Vale’s own channels a little after nine this morning, and the promoter’s notice followed about forty minutes later.

The order matters. When the promoter goes first, it is usually a venue or a sales problem. When the artist goes first and names a reason, it is usually the reason.

Vale’s statement said a recurring vocal injury had not healed on the schedule her doctors expected, and that she would rather cancel four shows than play them badly or move them into a window she cannot promise. Refunds are automatic at point of purchase, which the promoter’s notice confirmed.

What we can stand behind

  • The four dates are cancelled, not postponed. Both statements say so.
  • The remaining eleven dates on the leg are still listed and on sale.
  • The reason given is the artist’s own, in her own statement.

What we are not going to say

We have had three messages this morning asking whether this is about the label dispute that was reported in the spring. We have nothing connecting the two, and “nothing connecting them” is not a story. If that changes we will write it plainly rather than gesturing at it.

Sourcing Two published statements, both public, both linked from the artist’s and the promoter’s own channels. No anonymous sourcing was used for this item.
